Corporate Wellness Programs

Health Risk Assessments

The Health Risk Assessment (HRA) is the basis for any successful wellness program.

An HRA allows you to target your organization's health risks and costs, identify specific risk groups, track employee progress and evaluate the cost-benefit of your program. The HRA will measure the effects of obesity, stress, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, exercise, smoking and other factors in your company.

We offer a variety of HRA's based on the needs of your company. Our HRA's include:

  • Easy to complete questionnaires
  • Convenient online access with hard-copy available
  • Confidential individual results
  • Group reporting
  • Executive summary with recommendations for program development and goal setting

On-Site Biometric Screening

Biometric screening provides important data to determine the direction of your corporate wellness program. These tests provide valuable data to the employee about their risk for preventable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and many cancers. When combined with the Health Risk Assessment, biometric screening provides a more detailed and reliable plan for improving employee health and controlling healthcare-related costs.

Our biometric screening programs include highly trained and experienced screeners. We provide online appointment scheduling for your employees and informative educational materials to help explain their test results.

Testing is done by fingerstick or venipuncture. Results are accurate, confidential and most are available within minutes.

Biometric Screening can include:

  • Cholesterol Profile (HDL, LDL, Triglycerides, Total Cholesterol)
  • Blood Glucose
  • Blood Pressure
  • Body Composition Analysis (height, weight, BMI, body fat and waist circumference)
  • Pulmonary Function Testing
  • Bone Density
  • Skin Cancer Screening
  • Prostate Cancer Screening (PSA)
  • Thyroid (TSH)
  • Cotinine (to detect tobacco use)

Health Coaching

Our health coaching philosophy takes a comprehensive, 360-degree approach to promoting lifestyle change for health improvement.  Our Full Circle Health Coaching Program, powered by Wellness Corporate Solutions, is based on a foundation in evidence-based practices. Our health coaching interactions touch the physical, emotional, and environmental spheres of each employee’s life.  Our participant-centered methodology harnesses the power of Motivational Interviewing and Stage of Change Theory to guide employees through a sequential coaching process with an emphasis on concrete outcomes-focused sessions.

Our health coaching method is anchored by four key principles:

Nourish:  WCS health coaches emphasize a balanced plate, clean eating, and consuming a variety of foods—fruits, vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats, and lean proteins—to ensure an optimal intake of all nutrients.  They educate on the importance of these practices for nourishing the body and mind, maintaining a healthy weight, in-range biometric markers, facilitating an active lifestyle and preventing disease.  In addition, health coaches are prepared to address the nutritional demands of diseases like diabetes, heart disease, digestive disorders, and most other special dietary needs.

Move:  An essential factor in the healthy lifestyle equation is daily movement and physical activity.  Our health coaches teach an approach to fitness based on the guidelines of the American College of Sports Medicine, emphasizing the value of all activity while stressing incorporation of both strength and cardiovascular exercise.  Working with participants at any fitness level, coaches can assist in development of exercise plans, teaching of basic movements, and exploration into new forms of activity to promote long-lasting commitment and improved overall fitness.

Balance:  A common challenge for many coaching participants is achieving balance among all aspects of life—professional, personal, family, and friends.  Health coaches are skilled at helping employees identify and employ techniques for daily stress management best-suited to their lifestyles.  From the time constraints of regular travel to the emotional struggles of maintaining personal relationships, employees will be aided in identifying and prioritizing areas of difficulty so that efforts can be distributed to promote balance and health improvement.

Rest:  As an opportunity to recover, rebuild, and refresh, rest is an absolutely essential part of the wellness equation.  While often given the lowest level of priority by employees, WCS health coaches emphasize and teach the value of adequate sleep and relaxation as a part of every wellness plan.  As they gain useful tips, tools, and resources to optimize rest, coaching participants develop a foundation on which to maximize progress in all other areas of health.
