The Princeton Longevity Center Recipes
2 pounds of ground bison
1 cup spicy salsa
½ cup fresh green pepper
½ cup freshly minced onion
Mix all ingredients together and form into 8 patties.
Helpful grilling hints:
Because bison meat is very lean you must be careful not to cook your burgers too long or at as high a temperature as you would with beef. The more rare the meat the juicier the burger. Always use a cooking spray or brush cooking oil on the grill before grilling your burgers. Turn only once!
Makes 8 four-ounce burgers
Per 4 oz. burger: 170 Calories, 5g Fat, 2g Saturated Fat, 26g Protein, 4g Carbohydrate, less than 1 gram Fiber, 110mg Cholesterol, 210mg Sodium
